Speaking of Yeats

I fly to Dublin tomorrow to participate in the following event. I'm hopeful of a great night.

Was Yeats the most influential poet of the 20th century? Three poets from different cultural backgrounds, yet each influenced by Yeats, discuss Yeats' influence on their own work, his impact on 20th century literature generally and poetry in particular. This event will be broadcast on The Arts Show, RTÉ Radio 1.

    I truly enjoyed this broadcast, Carrie, and in particular the renditions of the chosen pieces by the reader, the name of whom I should like to remember. His interpretation seemed so natural and convincing. I would like to hear him read ALL of the Crazy Janes!

    Enjoy the Guinness (a different strain to the English version) and well done! You broached well the enduring issue of poets and polemics.
